Boxman Studios modifies shipping containers to create brand experiences on a grand scale. Based in Charlotte, NC, they design, develop, and deploy customized structures for individual and commercial applications across the globe. The Challenge

Boxman Studios needed to redesign boxmanstudios.com in order to reach potential customers in their target markets and industries, and spark interest in their design and building services. The company offers turnkey solutions from start to finish, which the website needed to highlight. Essentially, they needed to portray themselves a “one stop shop” for sustainable and mobile design and build solutions with the ultimate goal of an increase in pageviews for a boost in leads.

Our Strategy

Command Partners’ strategy for driving leads through pageviews involved presenting content in a design that allowed visitors, both human and search robots, to quickly digest the three main tenets of Boxman’s business model: the ability to design, develop and deploy modified shipping containers. The very first content visitors see on the new homepage details this - they are “designers, engineers, fabricators, welders, logisticians, project managers and perfectionists.” This leads into what they do: design, develop and deploy. Through this content, visitors quickly see that Boxman Studios offers a turnkey, iconic, innovative structures. This content was optimized for search engines to bring in new, unique visitors.

The content on the homepage is broken up by large, high-quality photos of Boxman’s structures in use. Combined, the content and design provide a cohesive and effective snapshot of the company, which draws in the visitor, increasing leads.

Results

Through the website redesign, Command Partners was able to help Boxman Studios significantly increase both site traffic and leads. Specifically, from October 2013 to October 2014 compared to a 12 month window prior, Boxman Studios saw:

  • 138% more unique visitors

  • 144% more page views

  • 16% increase in pages/session

  • 10% decrease in bounce

  • 16% increase in new visits

  • 93% increase in leads
